The Siesta Key Crystal Classic Master Sandsculpting Competition benefiting Mote Marine was held this past weekend. Huge turnout for the event. 40,000 people were expected to come out and view the great sculptures. Weather was a bit rough on Sunday but all still made the best of it. If you haven't been ou to see the event, you really need to come check out the great talent!
Here's something fun to do at #siestabeach this weekend! This sand hack will have you looking like a pro when you build your next sand castle.

To make the beach maps I'm using third party resources as references, county data and making site visits. It takes a lot of time to make sure the data is accurate but it's fun for me because I've always liked maps since I was a kid and I really enjoy the beach! Thankfully I appreciate the beach more today than when I was younger. This feels more like a hobby than work!
Siesta Key Crystal Classic
Looking forward to the Siesta Key Crystal Classic. Florida Beach Trails will be there with a booth setup with Landmark t-shirts, drink tumblers, homemade Siesta Beach signs and car decals.
The origin of Florida Beach Trails came from driving through Kentucky. Think about that for a minute - no beach around!
