Lido Beach

Lido Beach is just a few short miles north of Siesta Beach but is completely different.  The sand is almost as soft as Siesta but is less pure and has more shells.  This beach spot has a lot to offer.  At North Lido, you have a large nature park, a narrower shore with good fishing and some strong currents.  At the main part of Lido, many access points with sufficient street parking, a small parking lot and a much larger parking lot with facilities.  Concession stand, bathrooms, showers, tables, access ramps and a swimming pool make this a great public beach park with nearby and on the beach hotel and condo rentals.  St. Armand's Circle is a breif stroll away.  This beach is less crowded than Siesta and is a great second choice during tourist season to avoid the crowd and traffic jams that come with Siesta Beach due to it's #1 rating.
