Siesta Beach

Rated #1 in the USA by Dr. Beach in 2011, the most notable distinction of Siesta Beach is its crystal-white sand that feels like a soft powdered sugar texture. Amazingly, even on the hottest days, the sand stays cool and feels refreshing. Siesta Beach is consistently given awards, most reputably “The Best Sand Beach in America” award by The Travel Channel in 2004.

Siesta Beach features a main public beach area and 13 beach access points. All designated areas are public, however the 13 access points do not have a year-round life guard like the main public beach area. The main beach area features a large pavilion where a little eatery, gift shop, restrooms and water fountains are located.  Near the parking area is a shaded park area with grills and smaller pavilions which may be rented for parties and gatherings. Tennis and sand volleyball courts are also on the beach available for public enjoyment. Siesta Key is proud to offer free public parking.  Beach wheelchairs are also available for the public at the main pavilion.

Upcoming great event - the Siesta Key Crystal Classic Master Sand Sculpting Competition.  November 14-18, 2014.  Sculptures come from around the world to compete and feature some fabulous sand sculptures.
